24 Hours After New Report Walker Still Refuses to Answer Georgians’ Questions
Walker Abruptly Canceled A Scheduled Radio Interview, Dodged Basic Questions About Latest in Troubling Pattern
Atlanta, GA — In what’s become a “predictable cycle,” Herschel Walker is still refusing to answer basic questions 24 hours after the latest in a troubling pattern of reports that raise questions and reveal he should not represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate. Throughout his campaign, Walker has faced scrutiny for a long string of false claims and questions around his record that continue to hurt his candidacy – including about his violent behavior, his business record, his academic record, his record “working for law enforcement” and more.

Fox5 Atlanta: Herschel Walker declines to address abortion allegation from 2nd accuser at Georgia campaign stop
- Herschel Walker did not address new accusations that he pressured a second woman into getting an abortion Thursday as his campaign for Georgia’s U.S. Senate continued in Cumming.
- On Wednesday, Walker accused the anonymous woman of lying when she said Walker drove her to an abortion clinic in 1993 and waited outside while she had the procedure.
- The second accuser, identified only as “Jane Doe,” spoke to reporters via an audio Zoom call arranged by her lawyer, Gloria Allred. The woman alleged that Walker encouraged her to get an abortion and paid for one after she became pregnant during their six-year relationship.
- “The reason I am here today is because he has publicly taken the position that he is ‘about life’ and against abortion under any circumstances when, in fact, he pressured me to have an abortion and personally ensured that it occurred by driving me to the clinic and paying for it,” the woman said. She said she was not revealing her identity because she fears “reprisals against myself, my family and my livelihood.”

Ellison Barber, NBC: So we were at that campaign stop in Dillard, Georgia yesterday, where Herschel Walker came over to cameras and made a statement about these latest allegations. After he finished speaking, denying the allegations, saying “I’m done with this foolishness,” I asked him, I said, “Can you unequivocally deny and say that you have never paid for anyone to have an abortion?” He did not answer that question. Now, the campaign had told us prior to Walker coming to make those statements that he wouldn’t take any questions after speaking with us. I asked the question anyway, because this is a public person running for public office at a public event, and it is our job to ask those questions. So we asked it, and Walker didn’t answer. I then followed up with the campaign afterwards, asking them that same question. I did not get a direct answer from the campaign either. Instead, what I got was a copy of the press release that they sent out with a transcript of what Walker had said at that event, the sound that you just played. It’s been interesting to see how some of this is playing out amongst Walker supporters. The event we were at earlier this morning in Cumming, Georgia, it’s a weekday. Usually you don’t have very large crowds at political events during the week. We’re about 12 days from the election, if I’m keeping my days straight right now, and there was a fairly large crowd there were at least 200 people there to see Herschel Walker, an energetic crowd, and they seemed largely unfazed by these latest allegations.
