Majority of Senate Democratic Caucus, National leaders continue to rally around Warnock amid new signs of Georgia’s battleground status
Atlanta, GA – Today, the Warnock for Georgia Senate campaign announced a series of endorsements from 25 sitting United States Senators. The announcement follows last week’s endorsements from several Atlanta City Council members, Brady PAC and NARAL Pro-Choice America and highlights the momentum for Warnock’s U.S. Senate campaign as he enters the Third Quarter backed by various national organizations, members of Congress, and the majority of Georgia officials. CBS News reported that Warnock “is widely seen as the Democrats’ best chance in the special November election to flip the seat” and that “the senators themselves range in ideology from more moderate to progressive and are from both Democratic-and-Republican heavy states – as well as some battleground states.”
The campaign previously announced that five Senators, who also ran for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, joined Team Warnock including Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, Cory Booker and Michael Bennet. Warnock, who is running to represent all Georgians in the U.S. Senate, is officially backed by over 30 members, a majority of the Senate’s Democratic caucus.
“I’m beyond grateful for the support of so many leaders in this movement, who I hope to call colleagues very soon. They have stood on the side of working people across this country, and I look forward to joining them in the struggle for the soul of our nation and against the injustice and corruption in Washington,” said Reverend Warnock.
The following United States Senators support Warnock for Georgia:

Warnock launched his campaign for the U.S. Senate in January 2020, and independent analysts at Cook Political immediately moved the race to one of the most competitive in the nation. Reverend Warnock outraised every candidate – Democrat and Republican – for the special election in the first fundraising quarter this year. He’s also earned support from leaders across the state including Stacey Abrams, Congressman John Lewis, Ambassador Andrew Young, Jason Carter, Minority Leader Bob Trammell and countless local officials. In addition to robust support from Georgians, he is backed by Planned Parenthood, End Citizens United, Democracy for America, the Congressional Black Caucus as well as Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn and multiple United States Senators, including Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, Cory Booker, and Sherrod Brown
About Reverend Warnock
Reverend Raphael Warnock grew up in Kayton Homes public housing in Savannah. Fourteen years ago, he was chosen to serve as Senior Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, the former pulpit of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He is only the fifth Senior Pastor in the history of the church and the youngest pastor ever selected to serve in that position. Reverend Warnock believes his service does not stop at the church door, and has been an advocate to expand health care coverage and to ensure hardworking Georgians can make a living wage. As Senator, Reverend Warnock will bring to Washington the concerns of struggling Georgia families who wonder why no one is looking out for them, and focus on fighting for quality, affordable health care, for the dignity of working people who are paid too little as our government works more for Wall Street, and to make sure every voice is heard.
