Meredith Anderson, WRDW:Senator Raphael Warnock campaigned in Fort Valley today, ahead of the December 6th runoff with his Republican challenger Herschel Walker. Warnock says Walker knows nothing about being a Senator and Georgia needs a Senator who knows the people and their needs.”

Reverend Warnock: “Herschel Walker doesn’t know the issues. Isn’t that obvious? He doesn’t even know the issues. And what’s worse is he’s not interested. I’m talking about price gouging and he’s telling me that people ought to eat right, which suggests to me that he doesn’t know the job description of a United States Senator. Maybe he should run for dietitian. I’m running for United States Senate.”

Irena Plunkett, WGXA: “The battle for your ballot continues here in middle Georgia as Reverend Raphael Warnock is leaning on the congregation and outside votes to go to the polls. From the pulpit to the polls, Senator Warnock is preaching every vote matters.”

Reverend Warnock: “Don’t just pray with your lips, pray with your legs. Show up.”

Irena Plunkett, WGXA: “In a second bid to maintain his seat as Senator, the Reverend has been active, bouncing between Macon and Fort valley Thursday, trying to get the votes one more time, urging congregations across Georgia and voters to resist the temptation of sitting out the runoff. Warnock got to work drilling home a mantra.”

Reverend Warnock: “Show up and we win. Say it: Show up and we win. Show up and we win. We win, when we show up. We win, when we show up. We win, when we show up.”

Irena Plunkett, WGXA: “While 49.4% of the votes went to Warnock and 48.5% went to Walker. Neither candidate got over the 50% threshold to be named one of the next Senators of the state. Still Warnock is insistent on winning the plurality of votes. A clear message, he believes, Georgians have sent.”

Reverend Warnock: “And the choice in this election could not be clearer. This election is about competence, and it’s about character. Who’s ready and who’s fit to represent the people of Georgia in the United States Senate. The people of Georgia got that right last Tuesday and they’re going to get it right on December 6th.”

Lori Johnson, WMAZ:Senator Warnock stopped in Peach County today to talk to supporters ahead of the December 6th runoff. Molly Jett joins us live in Houston County now with more on the visit.”

Molly Jett, WMAZ: “Earlier today, I was in Fort Valley with about 50 other people. Now, Senator Warnock took the stage and told those people that he helped cap the cost of insulin. He also said he tells the truth, unlike what he says is his opponent, Herschel Walker. Now, Senator Warnock did take that stage for about 10 minutes today. He says it’s his job to be a United States Senator for the entire state, adding rural communities like Fort Valley are often overlooked. So, he says, he’s been standing up for HBCUs and will continue to do that if re- elected. But Warnock says there is still work to be done. He wants Georgians to take this runoff election seriously.”

Reverend Warnock: “I won with the most votes last week. But, the contest isn’t over. It won’t matter if people won’t show up again.”

Molly Jett, WMAZ: “Warnock says he is confident he will win on December 6th. Now he also spent some time speaking with people in Warner Robins today.”
