“It’s become very clear that Democratic frontrunner Raphael Warnock will finish with the most votes.”
Atlanta, GA – With recent polls continuing to show Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church and U.S. Senate candidate Reverend Raphael Warnock leading the race and closing in on 50 percent, election analysts at Sabato’s Crystal Ball took a closer look at the special Senate election in Georgia and upgraded the race to a “Toss Up.”
In their analysis, Crystal Ball noted that Warnock has been “consolidating the Democratic vote” and is now the “frontrunner” poised to “finish with the most votes”.
Earlier this month, Cook Political Report also moved the race into the tossup category, labeling it one of the most competitive races in the country. Warnock’s grassroots fundraising far outpaced his opponents’, allowing him to outraise the field for the third straight quarter in a row, and poll after poll has shown Warnock within striking distance of winning outright on November 3rd.
In the closing days of the race, Warnock has connected with voters across the state on his “Rev Up The Vote” GOTV tour while speaking about voting rights and health care. Warnock has also continued to consolidate support both in Georgia and nationally, with recent endorsements from Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

About Reverend Warnock
Reverend Raphael Warnock grew up in Kayton Homes public housing in Savannah. Fifteen years ago, he was chosen to serve as Senior Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, the former pulpit of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He is only the fifth Senior Pastor in the history of the church and the youngest pastor ever selected to serve in that position. Reverend Warnock believes his service does not stop at the church door, and has been an advocate to expand health care coverage and to ensure hardworking Georgians can make a living wage. As Senator, Reverend Warnock will bring to Washington the concerns of struggling Georgia families who wonder why no one is looking out for them, and focus on fighting for quality, affordable health care, for the dignity of working people who are paid too little as our government works more for Wall Street, and to make sure every voice is heard.
