FACT CHECK: Reverend Warnock Stood Up to President Biden, Worked Across the Aisle to Fight for Georgians

Warnock Is Ranked 18th Most Bipartisan Senator By Non-Partisan Group

Savannah, GA — Reverend Warnock has stood up to President Biden on behalf of Georgia and proven he will work with anyone, on either side of the aisle, to help Georgians. That’s why Reverend Warnock was ranked among the most bipartisan centers in the chamber by the Lugar Center.

Here are the facts:

Reverend Warnock stood up to President Biden and his Administration to support Georgia jobs and bring down costs.

  • Reverend Warnock led the fight to protect military jobs in Savannah by slamming President Biden’s proposed cuts to the Savannah Combat Readiness Training Center, working with Republican Congressman Buddy Carter to successfully protect funding for the critical Center in the Senate’s appropriation proposal.
  • Reverend Warnock successfully urged the Administration to release millions of dollars in federal funding to support local jobs and ease supply chain issues at the Port of Savannah.
  • Reverend Warnock pushed the White House to hold shipping corporations accountable for price-gouging – an effort that’s now been signed into law.

Reverend Warnock has worked across the aisle to fight for Georgians.

  • Reverend Warnock led the bipartisan push to lower costs through the jobs and competition bill, which has been signed into law. The law will help ease supply chain issues, preventing shortages and protecting jobs — including the nearly 2,700 jobs at Kia Georgia, a West Point plant that was shut down for days due to a lack of semiconductor chips.
  • The Warnock-authored Invest to Protect Act passed unanimously in the Senate. The bipartisan bill will invest in training, equipment, mental health support, officer recruitment, and retention to support small law enforcement agencies in Georgia and across the country. This investment in rural law enforcement is backed by Burke County Sheriff Alfonzo Williams and Screven County Sheriff Mike Kile.
  • Reverend Warnock worked with Senator Ted Cruz to prioritize I-14 and better connect military bases across the state.
  • Reverend Warnock worked with Senator Tommy Tuberville to help Georgia’s peanut farmers get their goods to market
  • Reverend Warnock led the passage of legislation with Sen. Rubio that secured critical funding to reduce maternal mortality and improve infant health in Georgia.
