ICYMI: After White House Proposed Budget Cut, Reverend Warnock Continues to Lead Effort To Save Georgia Military Training Center
AJC: “Calling the Biden proposal ‘misguided,’ [Reverend Warnock] said he will continue to work to ensure no cuts move forward.”
Reverend Warnock: “This is not the time to cut our military’s operational capacity, scale back crucial manufacturing, and downsize jobs – particularly those dedicated to combat readiness.”
Atlanta, GA – After months of bipartisan advocacy by Reverend Raphael Warnock to maintain critical funding for the Savannah Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC), a House Appropriations subcommittee rejected cuts to the Center’s funding – a major step in Warnock’s effort to save the CRTC in his hometown and a victory for Georgia military jobs. This comes after months of Reverend Warnock working across the aisle with members of the Georgia delegation to urge the Biden Administration to reverse its proposed closure of the facility and calling on Congress to swiftly reject President Biden’s proposal.
