Nick Viland, WRDW: “As you can see Raphael Warnock behind me, made the trip out to Sparta to meet and greet with his supporters, becoming the first acting Senator to visit this city since 2003. Dozens of people out to hear the Senator today in a city that hasn’t been visited by many politicians in the past, but Warnock wanted to make it known why he was there.”
Reverend Warnock: “I’m the United States Senator for the whole state and small towns like Sparta really are the heart and soul of the state.”
Nick Viland, WRDW: “Warnock outlined what he’s done so far in office for people right here in Sparta.”
Reverend Warnock: “I’ve passed legislation on a whole range of subjects that will directly help Sparta, Georgia. For one thing, we passed the single largest tax cut for middle and working class families in American history.”
Nick Viland, WRDW: “When it comes to direct impact, Warnock highlighted the recently passed bi-partisan infrastructure bill, along with Texas Senator Ted Cruz, he says he was able to include an addition to I-14.”
Reverend Warnock: “It would connect some of our military installations near Macon and Augusta and Columbus and it would not only connect those military installations, it would revitalize those areas economically that have long been forgotten about.”

Brick Nelson, WMGT: “U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock made a stop in Sparta Wednesday morning to celebrate the start of early voting. Residents in the area came to show their support for the candidate they believe is the right choice.”
Sparta Voter: “I believe he is for Georgia, not just people of color, but Georgia as a people need representation to do what’s right for people who are less fortunate and need help and assistance.”
Brick Nelson, WMGT: “He discussed infrastructure for Georgia roads and cutting the child poverty rate. Senator Warnock also says he wants to represent all areas of rural Georgia and give those people the resources they need.”
Reverend Warnock: “You can’t serve the people if you don’t know the people. You got to spend time with the people and for me this is one of the most exciting parts of the job is being with the people you serve.”
Brick Nelson, WMGT: “He also spoke about plans to bring stem-based learning to rural areas of Georgia to give students more opportunities for higher education.”
Reverend Warnock: “People in small town Georgia should know that they don’t have to go to Silicon Valley to participate in stem and to participate in the future. I am focused on bringing those jobs and that opportunity right here.”
Brick Nelson, WMGT: “Many supporters in Sparta are encouraging those who voted to go out and do so.”
Sparta Voter: “Go out and vote so that we can make changes— Things will be better for the state of Georgia if we get out and vote.”
In the evening, Reverend Warnock hosted a “Latinos For Warnock” Early Vote Rally with Lin-Manuel Miranda in Atlanta, where they met with members of the Latino community to discuss the importance of Latinx voters in the 2022 election.

Lin-Manuel Miranda: “Hello Atlanta!”
Justin Wilfon, WSB: “As voting begins, the campaigns are bringing in big names to try to get voters to the polls. The latest Lin Manuel Miranda, the force behind Broadway’s Hamilton and Disney’s Encanto among others campaigned Wednesday night in Atlanta for Senator Raphael Warnock.”
Lin-Manuel Miranda, WSB: “I’m thrilled to be back in Atlanta because I love it here but I also want to say that, you know you hate to be the guy that quotes the lyrics from the band, but history has its eyes on you. ”
Justin Wilfon, WSB: “We were there as Miranda and Warnock held a rally targeting Hispanic and LatinX voters with new polling showing those voters closely divided. Warnock took the opportunity to go after his republican opponent Herschel Walker.”
Reverend Warnock: “Listen, let me make it plain, Herschel Walker is not ready to be the United States Senator. He is just not ready. But we are ready. ”
