ICYMI: Walker Refuses to Commit to Debates After Saying He’d Debate “Any Day of the Week”

Fox 5: “Walker has said repeatedly he will debate Reverend Warnock ‘whenever’ but sidestepped the question when I asked if he would commit to the Atlanta Press Club debate, October, 16th.”

Atlanta, GA –  On Thursday morning, Herschel Walker’s campaign continued to refuse to commit to debates despite Walker’s previous comments that he would debate Reverend Warnock “any day of the week.”

FOX 5

FOX 5 Reporter Claire Simms: “Even before the Republican Primary, Herschel Walker said he was focused on debating Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock ahead of the general election. But now, with at least one of those dates set, he was not willing to commit today. Senator Warnock has agreed to take part in three debates in Atlanta, Macon and Savannah. Walker has said repeatedly he will debate Reverend Warnock ‘whenever’ but sidestepped the question when I asked if he would commit to the Atlanta Press Club debate, October, 16th.”

11 Alive

11 Alive reported Walker “waffled” on whether he would debate, and noted he “refused to debate his Republican opponents before the May primary.”
