On A Veterans-Focused Swing, Reverend Warnock Visits Warner Robins, Dublin

Atlanta, GA – Yesterday, veterans showed their support for Reverend Warnock as he kicked off his “Working for Georgia” bus tour, joined by Georgia voters, veterans, and community leaders at campaign stops in Warner Robins and Dublin.

Reverend Warnock’s statewide tour comes one week after the Warnock-backed PACT Act was signed into law. The new law will provide health care coverage to the nearly 350,000 Georgia veterans exposed to toxic burn pits during their military service. The PACT Act is part of Reverend Warnock’s extensive record of fighting for Georgia’s veterans and military families, which includes calling on the Air Force to honor its promise to maintain missions at Robins Air Force base.

Hear what community leaders are saying about Reverend Warnock’s work for military heroes:

WARNER ROBINS

Reverend Warnock met with Georgia veterans and voters in Warner Robins.

“Our Senator realized and understands the need and care for those who served our country,” said Rev. Dr. Rutha M. Jackson. “Warnock is passionate about taking care of those who served, let us be passionate about voting for those who have our best interest at heart.”

“Senator Warnock has fought to improve our military housing, health care, and help our homeless veterans,” said Houston County Democrats Chair and USMC veteran Courtney Driver. “That’s why we have to send him back to Washington.”

“Reverend Warnock makes sure we have safe housing for all veterans. He has secured money for Georgia veterans to give them jobs and training,” said USMC veteran Jerome Stephens. “Reverend Warnock keeps on fighting for veterans.”

DUBLIN

Later in the day, Reverend Warnock met with Georgia veterans and community leaders in Dublin.

“How many veterans do we have out here? Veterans, he’s fighting for us! He’s fighting for us to make sure we get treatment,” said Ward 1 Dublin City Council Member Bennie Jones.

“You all know that my dad was a veteran of World War II and taking care of veterans is personal to me. He spent the last years of his life right here in the Carl Benson Medical Center right here in Dublin,” said former Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia Dubose Porter. “Taking care of veterans is personal to Raphael Warnock.”
