REMINDER: While Reverend Warnock Fought to Lower Health Care Costs, Herschel Walker Wants to Deny Georgians Health Care, Opposes Efforts To Lower Costs

Walker Opposed Legislation To Cap The Cost Of Insulin, Lower The Cost Of Prescription Drugs, And Opposes Expanding Medicaid For The More Than 600,000 Georgians Who Would Benefit

Savannah, GA — The contrast between Reverend Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker couldn’t be clearer when it comes to expanding health care for Georgians and lowering their costs.

While Reverend Warnock has fought his entire career to expand health care and successfully brought down prescription drug costs in the Senate, Herschel Walker would deny health care help for Georgians, opposing Medicaid expansion and other efforts to cut health care costs.

Read more on the difference between Reverend Warnock and Herschel Walker on health care below:

Reverend Warnock successfully lowered prescription drug and insulin costs for Georgia seniors and is continuing his fight to expand access to affordable and quality health care in Georgia:

  • Reverend Warnock’s proposals to lower prescription drug costs for seniors and cap the cost of insulin at $35 per month for Georgians on Medicare passed and was signed into law as part of the Inflation Reduction Act.
  • The Inflation Reduction Act also includes health care savings for Georgians and finally gives Medicare the ability to negotiate drug prices on behalf of Georgia seniors, saving taxpayers billions and reducing the federal deficit.
  • Reverend Warnock continues leading the fight to expand Medicaid, a measure that would expand access to affordable health care for 640,000 Georgians while creating 60,000 jobs

Meanwhile, Herschel Walker opposes efforts to lower health care costs and expand access for Georgians:

  • Herschel Walker opposed the Inflation Reduction Act despite the much-needed relief it provides for the people of Georgia by fighting inflation, capping the cost of insulin and lowering the cost of life-saving prescription drugs.
  • Herschel Walker confirmed his support for a national abortion ban and outlawing abortion without exceptions for rape, incest, or even to save the life of the mother — saying, there’s “no exception in [his] mind.
