Reverend Raphael Warnock Commits to Three General Election Debates Against Herschel Walker
Atlanta, GA – Today, Reverend Raphael Warnock commits to three general election debates against Herschel Walker across the state of Georgia. Reverend Warnock is moving forward with scheduling general election debates following repeated comments from Herschel Walker that he looks forward to debating Warnock.
“When the people of Georgia elected me, I committed to working hard for all Georgians — and that’s what I have done: working to lower costs for Georgia families by capping the cost of prescription drugs, suspending the federal gas tax, and holding corporations accountable for price gouging. The people of Georgia will have to make a decision about who is best able to represent the people of Georgia,” said Reverend Warnock. “The debates are an opportunity for Georgians to see the clear choice they have in this important election.”
The debates would take place across the state and be hosted by Georgia media organizations.
Walker has said he would debate in the general election:
- In October of last year, Walker said he would debate Reverend Warnock “any day of the week.”
- After qualifying for the Senate contest in March, Walker said he was here, in the Senate race, “to debate Raphael Warnock”.
- This month, Walker said he was ready to debate.
