|“Kelly Loeffler doesn’t want to talk about why she’s for getting rid of health care in the middle of a pandemic, so she’s going to try to scare you with lies about me. … I’m staying focused on what Washington could do for you.”|
Atlanta, GA – Yesterday, Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Reverend Raphael Warnock released his first ad of the runoff, “Staying Focused.” The ad highlights Warnock’s commitment to the issues that matter to Georgians as unelected Senator Kelly Loeffler attempts to distract voters from her opposition to accessible health care and her failure during the pandemic to deliver in Washington on the issues facing Georgians back home.
While Loeffler has congratulated supporters of QAnon, called herself more conservative than Attila the Hun and indulged in politics of fear and division in her race to the right, Warnock has campaigned on uniting Georgians and his vision for an economy and a health care system that will work for all.
Since becoming Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, the historic spiritual home of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Warnock has been an outspoken advocate for access to affordable health care, helping lead efforts in Georgia to expand Medicaid, and he’s been a statewide leader on protecting voting rights, including helping to register over 400,000 new voters as the former Chair of the New Georgia Project.

[Voiceover]: Raphael Warnock eats pizza with a fork and knife. Raphael Warnock once stepped on a crack in the sidewalk. Raphael Warnock even hates puppies.
[Warnock]: Get ready Georgia, the negative ads are coming. Kelly Loeffler doesn’t want to talk about why she’s for getting rid of health care in the middle of a pandemic, so she’s gonna try and scare you with lies about me. I’m Raphael Warnock and I approve this message because I’m staying focused on what Washington could do for you. And by the way, I love puppies.
About Reverend Warnock
Reverend Raphael Warnock grew up in Kayton Homes public housing in Savannah. Fifteen years ago, he was chosen to serve as Senior Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, the former pulpit of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He is only the fifth Senior Pastor in the history of the church and the youngest pastor ever selected to serve in that position. Reverend Warnock believes his service does not stop at the church door, and has been an advocate to expand health care coverage and to ensure hardworking Georgians can make a living wage. As Senator, Reverend Warnock will bring to Washington the concerns of struggling Georgia families who wonder why no one is looking out for them, and focus on fighting for quality, affordable health care, for the dignity of working people who are paid too little as our government works more for Wall Street, and to make sure every voice is heard.
