| “These are difficult and dark days, and yet the scripture says that the light shines through the darkness, and the darkness overcometh it not. And so, we will get through this, and will get through it all together, expressing our gratitude even in the midst of grief. And so, for now, we pause to say thank you.” Atlanta, GA – Today, Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Reverend Raphael Warnock released a new ad, “Thanks.” The new ad highlights Warnock’s gratitude for frontline workers who are serving Georgia and the country as Thanksgiving approaches and emphasizes Warnock’s belief that Georgians can come together to overcome any obstacle. Throughout his campaign, Warnock has spoken about the importance of dignity for working people and the need to expand access to quality, affordable health care. This latest ad continues to build on those themes as Warnock speaks directly to the teachers, doctors, nurses, and service workers who have continued to put others first during the pandemic. |

| Full Transcript of “Thanks” below: [Warnock]: What does Thanksgiving mean in the year 2020? That’s a very good question. We’ve seen challenges and strife this year, the likes of which we never could have imagined. Many have lost livelihoods. Others have lost loved ones. These are difficult and dark days, and yet the scripture says that the light shines through the darkness, and the darkness overcometh it not. And so, we will get through this, and will get through it all together, expressing our gratitude even in the midst of grief. And so, for now, we pause to say thank you. Thanks to those who bravely serve our country. Thanks to the teachers, the doctors, and nurses, the essential workers. And to those who lost loved ones in recent days, and for whom the holiday seasons are particularly difficult, I pray for your strength. I’m Raphael Warnock and I approve this message. About Reverend WarnockReverend Raphael Warnock grew up in Kayton Homes public housing in Savannah. Fifteen years ago, he was chosen to serve as Senior Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, the former pulpit of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He is only the fifth Senior Pastor in the history of the church and the youngest pastor ever selected to serve in that position. Reverend Warnock believes his service does not stop at the church door, and has been an advocate to expand health care coverage and to ensure hardworking Georgians can make a living wage. As Senator, Reverend Warnock will bring to Washington the concerns of struggling Georgia families who wonder why no one is looking out for them, and focus on fighting for quality, affordable health care, for the dignity of working people who are paid too little as our government works more for Wall Street, and to make sure every voice is heard.### Title and affiliation are provided for identification purposes only. |
